Monday, May 14th, 2012
GraceWorks is so grateful for all the volunteers who helped on Saturday, May 12, with the Stamp Out Hunger food drive. Beginning with those who helped plan, setup and coordinate here at GraceWorks, to route drivers, to unloaders, to sorters - we could not have done this without you. Thank you so much for your efforts. [imagebrowser id=74]

Thank you for helping “Stamp Out Hunger”

Sunday, May 13th, 2012
The neighbors in Williamson County are a generous group of people! When the call went out for donations for the annual Stamp Out Hunger mail carriers' food drive, you donated. When the call for volunteers to help process the donations went out - you responded. We had over 150 volunteers working through the afternoon to transport, unload, and process nearly 36,000 pounds of food donations collected in this county today. Thank you so much! This food will feed so many hungry families right here in Read More....

Volunteers from Keller Williams serve on “Red Day”

Friday, May 11th, 2012
Thank you to the enthusiastic group of volunteers from Keller Williams, serving on "Red Day" at GraceWorks Ministries! Nearly 30 volunteers helped in the thrift store, back room and food pantry with a smile. They also brought a truckload of laundry supplies, paper towels, toilet paper and cleaning supplies for us to provide for our clients who need them. We are so grateful! [imagebrowser id=72]

How can I make a difference?

Tuesday, May 8th, 2012
I spoke to a group of 6th graders at my church last Sunday about the ministries of GraceWorks. As I told them about the different ways that GraceWorks helps families in need, someone asked what they could do to help. I realized that in the face of so much need, one person can feel so insignificant. Yet each small act, when combined with all the other small acts, can transform lives. Whether you volunteer an hour in the food pantry, or donate a bag of canned food, or clean Read More....

Young volunteers in our food pantry

Friday, March 23rd, 2012
We love to see parents instilling the volunteer spirit in their young children. And we love to have kids help in our food pantry. We have recently had various ages helping out. What fun we had the day we hosted a group from Brentwood Hills Church of Christ. Brownie Troop 2088 helped fill Fuel Bags, nutritious, easy to eat weekend food bags for kids. And what a special day we had when Caroline Salstrand brought a group friends to help her celebrate her birthday by volunteering and donatiRead More....

Thank you to Brentwood Baptist Church

Monday, August 29th, 2011
GraceWorks partners with over 55 area churches that provide support and volunteers to help us achieve our mission of sharing the hope and grace of God by helping our neighbors in need. One way that we help is by providing food for struggling families. Our ability to provide that food has been challenged recently as the food pantry stock had gotten very low. Not any more. Each year Brentwood Baptist Church holds a food drive to benefit GraceWorks. Just think how excited we were as we unloaded Read More....

Eagle Scout project helps our food pantry

Monday, August 1st, 2011
Boy Scout Zack Sexton saw a need at GraceWorks, and took the opportunity to address that need in his Eagle Scout project. With the volume of food donations that are sorted here at GraceWorks, the pantry needed a sorting table that was more flexible for different sized drives or donation items. After volunteering in the pantry to understand the process, Zack designed a table that is long enough to accommodate the sort boxes, and with overhead signage that can be changed out as needed. Volunteers from YouthWorks help in our pantry

Tuesday, June 14th, 2011
Summer means mission groups, and we welcomed a team of volunteers from YouthWorks in our food pantry on June 13.  YouthWorks' core purpose is to help the church be the church by providing life-changing, Christ-centered resources for ministry. Teens from Florida and Arkansas helped sort, restock shelves and fill grocery carts for clients, and learned how Graceworks helps those in our community in need.
