Thousands of children in Williamson County do not have access to healthy food at home over the weekend. Through our new “Fuel Bag” program, GraceWorks is helping supplement the food many children receive at home on weekends or holidays by providing nutritious, easy-to-prepare food items, discreetly packed into their backpacks before they leave school on Fridays.

Volunteers pack and deliver the bags weekly to 10 local elementary, middle and high schools. As we identify additional areas of need, we will be expanding the program to other schools with children in need.
