POSITION SUMMARY
The Development Director secures contributed revenue and donations from individuals, corporations, foundations, civic groups and churches building the organizations base of support. The Development Director will manage the staff of four key areas within GraceWorks: Communications, Donors & Volunteers, Church & Community Relations and Grants & Events.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop and implement a fundraising strategy for GraceWorks

a. Help create the annual budget and participate in budget meetings as necessary

b. Analyze fundraising efforts year over year

c. Prepare report for the board

2. Deepen relationships with existing donors and in-kind supporters

3. Identify, solicit and cultivate potential funding prospects

a. Work with team and committee members to identify new donors

b. Work with team and committee members to identify new business sponsorships

4. Manages staff in the following areas: Grant Writing, Church and Communications, Community Relations, and Volunteers.

5. Develop new fundraising opportunities in the area of corporate and foundation relations, research prospective grant opportunities

6. Meet set fundraising goals and deadlines for development activities

7. Manage and plan fundraising events

a. Work with team to secure venue, entertainment, and catering and arrange fair or reduced pricing

b. Secure donations of goods and services

c. Provide necessary publicity for all events

d. Prepare tickets, flyers, posters, and donor letters for events

e. Manage, Plan and attend Event Committee meetings

f. Event follow-up

g. Thank you notes

8. Schedule and prepare presentations for groups and churches

9. Give tours to potential donors, volunteers and churches

10. Work with City, County and United Way to engage employees and business leaders

11. Engage in leadership trainings and community groups and committees/councils

12. All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, nonprofit management, or related fields; minimum of 5 years of experience in fund development is required.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Operations Director will plan, organize, direct and control the activities of the Operations Departments to support the ministry of GraceWorks in its effort to provide excellent Neighbor Services. The Operations Director is also responsible for the performance of the retail, food pantry, in-kind gift processing, transportation and facility management of all GraceWorks locations. The position develops and deploys effective policies, processes and procedures across each operational area of responsibility to ensure high quality delivery of services. The position engages in strategic evaluation of systems, facilities and equipment utilized by operations to support effective capital planning.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide a strong leadership and advocacy model of ministry mission, programs and events to staff, volunteers, donors, community partners and neighbors.

2. Work closely with CEO to execute and enhance the strategy, mission, and budget of GraceWorks

3. Ensure a high level of customer and donor care to in-kind donors, volunteers, retail shoppers, community partners and neighbors using our services.

4. Responsible for directing, supervising and managing all aspects of operations including, in-kind donation receiving and distribution activities, inventory management and control, transportation, food pantry, retail and facilities management.

5. Responsible for the development, review, and modification of existing procedures, policies and activities to support an effective and efficient operating environment for receipt, storage and logistical movement of goods and donations.

6. Reviews and approves effective plans for receipt and distribution of in-kind gifts such as food, clothing, furniture and seasonal gifts.

7. Direct Facilities Manager in proactive maintenance and care of all GraceWorks facilities.

8. Manage truck driver recruitment, training, and scheduling to address the transportation needs of all departments and sites of GraceWorks.

9. Maintain the good working order all GraceWorks machinery, including trucks and warehouse equipment.

10. Ensures all operational activities are carried out in compliance with applicable regulations (i.e., OSHA, FDA, USDA, etc.).

11. Participates in strategic and budget planning. Provides strong adherence to all plans once solidified.

12. Responsible for the development, management and oversight of the Operations annual budget including income generated from retail sales. Regularly reviews operations budget in preparation for monthly board report which entails budget and activity summary and analysis.

13. Direct and/or monitor the activities, schedules and evaluations of all departmental staff.

14. Identifies training needs, initiates development of direct reports, and executes personnel action to facilitate growth and positive morale of staff.

15. Ensures that duties, responsibilities, authority and accountability of all direct and indirect reports and regular volunteers are defined and understood. Identify and provide training to staff and/or volunteers on a consistent basis.

16. Coordinate and plan volunteer activities as it relates to the operations department. Respond to group volunteer requests and proactively anticipate department volunteer needs.

17. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure overall ministry goals and strategies are met. Coordinates activities of assigned departments with other ministry departments.

18. All other duties/essential tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field; Five years of related operations management experience required.

1. Driving the truck to pick up furniture, food and other donations in homes, businesses, churches or schools

2. Loading and transporting equipment and materials to and from GraceWorks sponsored events

3. Working with a partner and using appropriate moving equipment to lift heavy furniture

4. Communicating with individual in-kind donors to coordinate their pickup time on the scheduled day

5. Interacting in a professional and pleasant manner with all donors, customers, and volunteers

6. Assisting with loading and unloading of sold merchandise or donations at GraceWorks

7. Cleaning, including bathrooms, lobby, store and any other areas of GraceWorks

8. Assisting as needed in all areas of GraceWorks

9. Being able to tell the GraceWorks story to anyone who asks

10. Able to react to change productively and handle all other duties/essential tasks as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a good driving record and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required; Valid Driver’s License Required. CDL not required. Must be 25 years or older.

1. Accompanying the driver in the truck to pick up furniture and other donations in homes, businesses, churches or schools

2. Loading and transporting equipment and materials to and from GraceWorks sponsored events

3. Working with a partner and using appropriate moving equipment to lift heavy furniture

4. Communicating with individual store donors to coordinate their pickup time on the scheduled day

5. Interacting in a professional and pleasant manner with all donors, customers, and volunteers

6. Assisting with loading and unloading of sold merchandise or donations at GraceWorks

7. Cleaning, including bathrooms, lobby, store and any other areas of GraceWorks

8. Assisting as needed in all areas of GraceWorks

9. Being able to tell the GraceWorks story to anyone who asks

11. Monitor back room and ensure docks remain clear, and landfill, cardboard and metal runs are scheduled as needed
