After Manger Day 4, we have helped over 350 families have a better Christmas! We helped 77 families tonight, in spite of the snow and bad weather. After the second day of The Manger, over 300 volunteers have helped over 175 families with Christmas presents. Donations continue to come in, so thank you to everyone who has donated gifts and/or time. It is so exciting to see God's blessing on all these families and volunteers. There are 5 more sessions of The Manger, which ends Thursday, December 16. We have over 840 families registered for assistance. [imagebrowser id=30]

The Manger 2010 opened Thursday, December 9, with over 80 families shopping for gifts with the help of over 100 volunteers. There were lots of smiles, hugs, prayers, blessings and calls for "Merry Christmas" as people left with bags of gifts for their families. We are so blessed to be the recipients of Manger donations from the Middle Tennessee Harley Owners Group each year. Not only lots of gifts were donated, but checks as well, which will really help get us stocked for The Manger. Many of the gifts are teen boy gifts, which are always in short supply. With a roar, the riders arrive at Graceworks, led by Santa and the American flag, then enjoy a chili lunch in return for their generosity.  On Sunday, August 29, Graceworks received nearly 27,000 pounds of food donated by the members of Brentwood Baptist Church (BBC), one of our church partners. Each year, the drive is announced during BBC's Sunday morning worship services along with a list of needed items, and members are encouraged to go shop after church, and bring the donations back to the church that afternoon.
