On a regular basis, we have a variety of volunteer opportunities for a range of interests and abilities in each of our ministries. For specific date-related opportunities, please check our Event Calendar and Upcoming Events to the right.

Emergency Services Volunteers
• Counselors to meet one-on-one with clients
• Financial guidance for clients

General Office Volunteers
• Data entry assistance
• Filing, correspondence and help with other clerical work
• Help with writing blogs as well as Facebook and Twitter updates (can be done offsite)
• Help with community service fairs and other recruiting areas (offsite)

Food Pantry Volunteers
• Sort incoming food donations
• Pick up donations from businesses and other agencies
• Food Pantry Team Leaders to oversee the process in the food pantry during a morning or afternoon shift, and train any other volunteers helping during that shift
• Food Pantry Project Leaders to oversee special food drives and/or food pantry projects

Development/Fundraising
• Serve on event committees
• Help with events (contacting sponsors, promotion and setup)
• Help with filing, mailings, correspondence and other clerical work
• Help with grant writing

Retail Volunteers
• Process donations of clothing and household items, including sorting, tagging, hanging and pricing
• Help with the Furniture Sale: carrying out and loading furniture, helping with checkout (Furniture Sales are 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month)
• Inspect and clean toy donations
• Inspect, clean and tag appliance donations
• Accept donations at the back door, issue receipts, answer questions about Graceworks and begin sort process
• Cashier in the store (substitute basis)

Senior Transportation Volunteers
• Drive senior clients to and from medical appointments (background check for volunteers required)

Off Campus Volunteer Opportunities
There are other ways volunteers can serve besides on the Graceworks campus. Some possible projects include:
• Collect Bibles to donate for our clients
• Organize a fundraiser, such as a car wash or bake sale, and donate the proceeds to Graceworks
• Set up a mini food drive to collect needed items and deliver them to Graceworks (for specific needs, please see our Wish List)
• Collect office supplies and deliver them to Graceworks (for specific needs, please see our Wish List)
