Volunteering as a group is an excellent way to serve at Graceworks, and we are happy to work with you to set up a group opportunity. We have families, small group or Sunday School classes, Vacation Bible School classes, baseball or soccer teams, college groups, teen mission groups and more. If your group is interested in volunteering, please contact volunteer@graceworksministries.net to schedule a time.
In many cases, groups help in our food pantry, sorting canned food items, checking expiration dates, or restocking shelves. We recommend that you wear cool, comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes when working in the pantry. If children younger than 10 years old will be in your group, please ensure they have adult supervision at all times. We can comfortably accommodate a group of 10-15 in our food pantry. If your group is larger, we may need to consider additional projects or coming in shifts.
In order to streamline your volunteer experience, you may want to have each of the volunteers complete our Volunteer Information Form and bring it with them. It will save time when you arrive for your volunteer session.
We may also have special projects that are well suited to volunteer groups, either onsite or offsite. Some of these projects will be posted on our event calendar, on our home page or through Facebook or Twitter. If you have an idea of a project that might be beneficial to Graceworks, please email volunteer@graceworksministries.net.
If anyone in your group will be bringing a camera, please have them email pictures to volunteer@graceworksministries.net for inclusion on our website and facebook page.
