Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Yields Big Results

We have the results for last Saturday’s Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive and it is amazing!

Through the Franklin Post Office, 28,132 pounds of food was collected from the people of Williamson County. This compared to 3,300 pounds collected last year by GraceWorks.

We owe a BIG Thank You to the many letter carriers who took the extra time to pick up the food along their routes. Several made a special trip on Sunday to pick up what would not fit in their vehicles on Saturday.

A special THANK YOU goes to AARP for sponsoring the drive, Second Harvest Food Bank for coordinating the distribution of the collection bags and the wonderful volunteers at GraceWorks for moving the donations from the postal vehicles to the GraceWorks trucks and to those volunteers who are processing the donations so that they’re ready to go to food insecure families in Williamson County.
