May 3 will mark the fourth year of The Big Payback—a 24-hour online giving event hosted by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. The goal is simple—inspiring Middle Tennesseans to come together, show their pride in their community, and contribute to the life-changing work of local nonprofit organizations.
In its first three years, The Big Payback helped Middle Tennessee’s nonprofit communities raise $6.75 million dollars for more than 750 charities, religious institutions and schools.
GraceWorks Ministries will once again participate in the Big Payback and earmark money raised to purchase backpacks/school supplies to be given to students in need. Each backpack is filled with school supplies and distributed to children across Williamson County just before the start of the school year.
One in five children may not have access to basic school supplies because of their family’s economic circumstances. The goal of this program is to ensure all students have the tools they need to have the best start possible for the upcoming school year.
GraceWorks raised $11,688.80 for backpacks/school supplies during the 24-hour day of giving in 2016. This year, our goal is to raise $15,000.
This year’s event begins at 12:00 a.m. and ends at midnight. For 24 hours, people can give to GraceWorks through the donation button on this page or at our Big Payback Donation Page.
